Sparta's Social structure

Sparta's social structure consists of four different groups of people. The lowest group is the Helots (slaves), and the noncitizens. The second group contained merchant/artisans. The third group in the social structure was the citizens and soldiers. The highest group in the social structure was the Assembly and the Council of Elders.
